In Acts 8, the Church was very young and very persecuted. Six chapters had passed since the thrilling events of Acts 2. The Church was still confined to Jerusalem. And things were not going well. In Chapter 7, they killed Stephen. In 8:1, “a great persecution arose against the church.” In 8:3, Saul “made havoc of the church.” The Church was scattered. It was separated. It was struggling.
Or was it? They were separated – but not stopped. 8:4 says, “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.” They were scattered, yet still sowed the seed. That is the goal of the Scattered Abroad podcast network. Our team is scattered throughout the United States, but we all have the same goal: to preach God’s Word to as many people as possible. We hope you’ll join us on our journey to plant, water, and trust God to give the increase.
